Celtic boss Gordon Strachan says he's surprised by the debate around skipper Stephen McManus' form. Strachan said: "I did not realise this was an issue until Stephen McManus was mentioned to me in an interview - I did not have a clue there was even a debate going on.
"Opinions expressed will be respected and not questioned by me, but once we get through the gates of Lennoxtown or Parkhead, then my opinion - and those of the staff - are the ones that count.
"I am behind all my players. I'm not saying specifically behind McManus, because I back every one of them. They are part of my group. I like working with them all. But, as I say to them always, if you are playing badly - I'll tell you."
