Celtic boss Gordon Strachan has played down reports of a loan move for Everton attacker James McFadden.

Asked about McFadden following his side's 1-1 draw at home to Hibernian, Strachan gave a circumspect reply.

"It is like poker in December," he said. "It is the bluffing stage and you guys and agents bluff. January is when the cards are on the table and we will see then."
