Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is hoping to sign defender Andre Wisdom from his former club Liverpool, according to reports.

The 23-year-old has spent recent seasons on loan at West Bromwich Albion, Derby County and Norwich City and is expected to leave Anfield permanently in the summer.

Wisdom has also attracted interest from Championship clubs, but Rodgers is hopeful that his personal relationship with the player will be helpful in convincing the player to move to Celtic Park.

It is understood that Wisdom will cost the Hoops £3million.
