Celtic manager Neil Lennon says he is not hoping that his side comes up against arch enemies Rangers in the Scottish Communities League Cup or any other competition.
The fierce Glasgow rivals are now in different divisions after 'Gers fell into liquidation and were subsequently relegated to the Third Division with their only potential meetings coming in the League or Scottish Cups.
Both clubs are through to the quarter-finals of the former, heightening the odds of an Old Firm fixture but Lennon says he will keep concentrating on his Hoops despite watching Ally McCoist's Rangers side beat Premier League leaders Motherwell 2-0 on Wednesday night.
"I thought the intensity of the game and the atmosphere was very good, Rangers scored two good goals and deserved to win the game," said Lennon.
"If we keep winning and they keep winning in competitions then there is a good chance of that (meeting) but we will see what the draw brings.
"The players love the (Old Firm) games. Whether we get an Old Firm game or not I don't know, it is not on my radar yet because it has not materialised.
"We are just pretty motivated into making inroads into the top of the table and obviously we have a big game coming up next week (in the Champions League against Spartak Moscow)."
