Celtic manager Neil Lennon has defended Beram Kayal after he was criticised for ducking out of the way of the only goal at Parkhead last night.
The Hoops lost 1-0 to Atletico Madrid in the Europa League because of Arda Turan's 25-yard strike on the half-hour mark and it appeared as though Kayal ducked out of the way to avoid the ball hitting him.
But Lennon has jumped to his defence saying it was mere misjudgment from the Israeli.
"I think Kayal misjudged the flight of the ball, Fraser Forster hasn't seen it until late and couldn't really do much about it. Fraser did his best, a split second reaction," he said.
"But I'm not going to be over critical of the goal. I felt we defended the corner well and it's just got through a ruck of bodies and Fraser hasn't seen it until later.
"Ultimately that was the difference between the two sides."
