Celtic boss to ignore playing mind games

Tony Mowbray will not attempt to play any sort of mind games with Rangers as Celtic look to cut in to the Ibrox men's 10-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premier League. While the Light Blues have an Active Nation Scottish Cup quarter-final replay at Dundee United, Celtic can reduce the gap to seven points with a win against St Mirren in Paisley.

However, the Celtic boss said: "I won't sit here and try to play any psychological games. I am only interested in my own team trying to win their games. "I can't affect what goes on elsewhere. We have to win on Wednesday and win on Saturday afternoon and then see what happens.

"We also have a Scottish Cup semi-final to look forward to in between the league games and so we keep going. In reference to any other teams, they'll do what they do.

"You can only nibble away by winning your games, but sometimes other teams keep winning their games too and you don't reduce the gap. We can only play our part."
