Celtic had some bad news yesterday with the injury to star full-back Emilio Izaguirre. The reigning Scottish Premier League Player of the Year was stretchered off inside the opening 20 minutes of the 1-0 win over Aberdeen at Pittodrie Stadium with what was later diagnosed as a broken leg.
Izaguirre could now be sidelined for up to six months, which is a massive loss for the Glasgow giants, and may force Hoops boss Neil Lennon to bring in another left-back.
"It's a huge blow for us to lose Emilio," he said.
"You can always tell by a player's reaction. Emilio is not one of those players to feign injury, so the concern was immediate.
"It's a huge blow to us and a huge blow to the player.
"We've got Charlie Mulgrew as well but we might have to look for a left-back."
