Celtic are set to deny Emilio Izaguirre the chance of representing Honduras at this summer's Olympic Games.
Honduras manager Luis Fernando Suarez will select the 26-year old left-back in his squad for the London Games but Hoops boss Neil Lennon wants him for Champions League qualifiers.
Lennon will use a FIFA ruling to make sure Izaguirre is not available for his country but that won't stop Suarez from picking him as one of three players over the age of 23 in his Honduras squad.
"But I will ask the club if he can play.
"I hope the answer is yes. I want Emilio to go to the Olympics but if they say no it's okay. I will respect that.""Emilio will be in my squad but FIFA have made the rules and Celtic can tell us not to pick him," Suarez told SunSport.
