Celtic are set to beat Sunderland and Wolves for free agent James McFadden.

The Daily Record says the Scotland star and his representatives have held talks with Parkhead powerbrokers in the past 48 hours.

It's understood all parties are happy with the way negotiations are progressing and a highly lucrative deal could be tied up today for the 28-year-old striker, who has been released from Birmingham City.
