Celtic are closing in on a deal for Everton striker James Vaughan.
Vaughan is joining Celtic on loan for the rest of the season in a shock move that includes a £250,000 'rental' payment, says the Mirror.
The striker has been sold on the idea of the Celtic switch despite Championship side Crystal Palace trying for him and offering Everton £850,000 for a permanent transfer.
Palace, who had the player on loan earlier this season, are stunned that Everton have taken less money from Celtic and snubbed the chance of selling Vaughan, who was also a target for Hull and Cardiff in the past few weeks.
