Celtic to be kept abreast of Derby's interest in Dundee Utd's Russell

Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell's request to be kept informed of Derby County's interest in Dundee United striker Johnny Russell has been granted according to SunSport.

The Hoops are keen on the 23-year old but Derby are believed to be attempting to lure him to the Championship for around £650,000.

It is believed that the offer from the Rams is far less than what the Arabs wants for Russell who could also be headed to Celtic Park.

The Scottish champions want to be kept abreast of any transfer happenings involving the former Scotland U21 international and will be given the chance to match any offer according to the report.
