Hannover winger Szabolcs Huszti is sparking a British Bosman scramble.

The Daily Mail says the 25-year-old impressed during Hungary's recent win over Northern Ireland in front of a clutch of British scouts and is out of contract in the summer.

Everton, Bolton and Blackburn have also monitored his progress but Birmingham boss Alex McLeish showed the strongest interest in the left sided player, who is currently at Bundesliga side Hannover.

However, Celtic have now moved ahead in the race for his signature and are willing to offer a pre-contract agreement to ensure he signs for them in the close season.
