Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama has been nominated to win the African Young Player of the Year award.
The 21-year old Kenyan powerhouse has emerged as a star in Glasgow thanks to his barnstorming performances for the Hoops throughout 2012.
Wanyama, who has been impressive for Celtic in the Champions League this season, is up against FC Krasnodar's Pape Moussa Konate of Senegal and FC Basel's Mohamed Salah of Egypt.
Wanyama will find out whether or not he is successful when the winner is announced in Ghana in December.
