SunSport is reporting that Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama has emerged as Manchester United's top winter target.
The 21-year old Kenyan powerhouse has previously been linked with United as well as Liverpool and Arsenal but recent reports suggest that Sir Alex Ferguson is set to make a proper move for his services in January.
Talk is that Ferguson is prepared to part with £12million for Wanyama who Hoops boss Neil Lennon said was worth around £25m after the player turned down a new Parkhead deal.
United are keen to bring in a tough central midfielder and Wanyama, who is contracted until 2015, certainly fits that bill.
