Shunsuke Nakamura intends to quit Celtic in January for a return home to Japan. "A move in January might be possible and my agent will take care of everything for me with regards to that happening," Nakamura said last night. "Don't get me wrong, if I was Scottish I'd love to play at Celtic forever, but I'm Japanese and I've also got a family and kids.
"I've also got to think about the national team, and I'm finding it quite hard travelling back and forward all the time. There is one match next month for Japan and a few others in February or March and some of them are important World Cup qualifiers.
"I'd really love to play here forever but when I take everything into consideration it makes me think that I might need to go back to Japan."
