Celta Vigo striker Iago Aspas is a surprise target for Real Madrid.

New Real coach Julen Lopetegui has requested a striker signing before the market shuts this month. However, president Florentino Perez is reluctant to spend big.

Valencia ace Rodrigo Moreno has been mentioned - though Real will not consider meeting his €125m buyout clause.

Instead, reports El Chiringuito, Aspas is now under serious consideration inside the Santiago Bernabeu.

Aspas thrived under Lopetegui for Spain last season and can be signed for a relatively affordable €40m courtesy of his buyout clause.
