Former AS Roma coach Luis Enrique has taken charge of Celta Vigo.

Celta and Abel Resino mutually agreed to go their separate ways a week after the Galician club saved their Primera Division status on the final day of the season by beating Espanyol 1-0.

A statement on celtavigo.net read: "Luis Enrique is the new coach of Celta after an agreement was reached between the club and coach for the next two seasons."
