Cagliari president Massimo Cellino says Serie A survival is their main goal this season.

After losing Max Allegri to AC Milan, Cagliari are beginning a new era under coach Pierpaolo Bisoli.

"We are targeting 40 points this term to ensure safety. After that we can talk about other things," said Cellino.

"I invested in this squad, buying up some players and refusing offers for others. It is our duty to do our best and the strength of this Cagliari side is above all the team ethic."
