Massimo Cellino is weighing up selling Leeds United to Red Bull.
The Daily Mail says Red Bull bosses have been in Leeds since last Wednesday to discuss a possible takeover of the struggling Championship club. Talks are due to continue this week, with owner-chairman Cellino clinging to power and Red Bull just as keen to buy him out.
The sticking point has been the Austrian energy drink company's insistence on taking complete control. Cellino is said to be amenable to Red Bull buying a majority stake but is reluctant to surrender his entire stock and walk away.
The 58-year-old Italian is trying to broker a deal that would give Red Bull boardroom control but allow him to stay in a lesser capacity. But Red Bull want to go it alone.
