Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech says they cannot afford any slip-ups in their season run-in.
Chelsea take on Tottenham at Stamford Bridge knowing a victory will extend their lead at the top to seven points because none of their closest rivals is in League action this weekend.
Cech said: "In this period every failure is costly. This is where we need to make sure we don't drop any points unnecessarily.
"Obviously, there will be games where you can be unlucky, like the West Ham match where we had so many chances and the ball wouldn't go in all day.
"This is the kind of game that you know can happen. But we must try to make sure that we're up to scratch all the time and at our best to win games.
"It is not easy to do that every week, so you really need to find your energy and the consistency.
"No matter what the opposition does, if you play your game, have control and dictate the tempo, then obviously you have a big chance of winning because you are in charge of what's happening on the pitch. This is the best way to play against any opposition.
"If we have a difficult moment during a game, we need to defend, be solid and overcome that moment."
