Petr Cech has urged Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich to hold onto Avram Grant as coach next season.

The goalkeeper said: "Avram has brought some new things to our game and our training sessions. We have a new approach and play a different style of football. "He is a very positive person and is more relaxed. Since he took over he has been a successful manager and that will still be the case whatever happens in Moscow because this is the first time the club have ever got to the final.

"The decision is made in the boardroom, but you don't usually change a successful manager. If we win on Wednesday, some will say it was Jose Mourinho's team, but Avram has been in charge nearly all season and should get the credit."
