Cech sees improvement in Chelsea after Tottenham draw

With all the positivity around Stamford Bridge in the last day or two, you could be forgiven for thinking that Chelsea had just won five games in a row.

But the reigning champions simply managed to not lose against Tottenham on Sunday, prompting a string of comments from players and coaches saying that the team was 'back'.

Goalkeeper Petr Cech is the latest to speak out about the Blues' sparkling 1-1 draw with Spurs which has apparently got the Londoners right back in the title hunt despite winning two of their last nine games.

"We knew we had a massive four games, starting at Tottenham. I said before the game that it could be a turning point in the whole league and we know we have the chance to change the table again in these next matches," the Czech gloveman said.

"We really searched for this result. We had better composure, we didn't allow them to make a bigger effort than ourselves. I think tactically we were well placed, in control, and we managed to open them up.

"You know even in difficult times that you have to go through, you have to work hard. We have been doing so all this period when we didn't get results and on Sunday we got an important one."

Chelsea will take their strong form of three consecutive draw into this weekend's vital clash with league leaders Manchester United.
