The 30-year old Czech Republic goalkeeper, who played a key role in helping the club clinch last season's Champions League title, will now remain at Stamford Bridge until 2016.

Cech joined the Blues from Rennes in 2004 and has played the most games as an overseas player for the club with 369 appearances.

"I am really happy to be part of this great club for another four years," he told the club's official website.
