Cech excited after Chelsea's FA Cup performance at Man Utd

Petr Cech feels Chelsea's second-half fightback at Manchester United on the weekend can help them have a successful season run-in.

The Blues found themselves two goals down early in the FA Cup quarter-final at Old Trafford on Sunday but rallied to force a 2-2 draw, and a replay to be played at Stamford Bridge.

Cech suggests that type of comeback can be paramount in helping the Southwest London club produce some extremely positive results as they chase the FA Cup, Europa League and a top-four spot in the Premier League.

"Given how the match went, this almost feels like a win," he posted on his personal website.

"I think we marked the club's [founding] anniversary in style. It was a really huge match to mark this important day and we are glad that we are still in the competition and in with a chance to win the trophy.

"After the half-time break we played very well and deserved to make it 2-2. Our substitutes had a great impact on the game, particularly Eden Hazard, who played fantastically.

"Eventually we even had a chance to win the game, but even though we couldn't take it we can still be satisfied. To be 2-0 down at United and make it 2-2 in the end is a success.

"We are still in the game and I believe that the second half performance will kick-start us."
