Cech diplomatic after Chelsea's draw with Galatasaray

Petr Cech was remaining calm regarding Chelsea's chances of progressing to the next phase of the Champions League.

The Blues drew 1-1 with Galatasaray in Istanbul on Wednesday night in what the Czech Republic goalkeeper described as a fair result.

Chelsea will now host the Turkish giants at Stamford Bridge on March 18 as they look to get past the Round of 16 but Cech is are it will be a very difficult task against a quality opponent.

"After how the match went, the draw is fair," Cech wrote on his personal website petr-cech.com.

"We are now in a position where we will go through with any win, but Galatasaray showed their strength and nothing is decided yet.

"We had a lot of counter attacks which we could have done better with and gone 2-0 up. It's a pity we didn't do that.

"In the first half we played aggressively, we did a lot of running and maybe we ran out of energy because of that.

"Suddenly we were not in control and we had to defend a lot as Galatasaray came to life with the help of their fans."
