Cech: Chelsea must score at Anfield

The Blues keeper will line up against the Reds in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final, well aware of the task facing Avram Grant's men.

Chelsea have been sent packing at this stage of the competition on two previous occasions by Rafa Benitez's side, and Cech does not intend to taste defeat for a third time.

With the all important second leg set to take place at Stamford Bridge, the Czech Republic international knows that a positive result on Merseyside would make them favourites to progress to the final in Moscow.

"To score an away goal has proved to be a key factor in the Champions League so far this season," Cech said on his official website.

"That fact was confirmed for instance in our tie with Fenerbahce. Although we lost 2-1 in Istanbul, we only needed to score one goal at home and not to concede, which we did, to go through.

"I also think that it is good for us that the second leg is being played at Stamford Bridge. It is certainly an advantage."
