Sydney FC today announced the signing of Brazilian striker Bruno Cazarine.
The 27-year old has signed a one-year deal with the reigning A-League champions after spending the last week or so training with the club.
Cazarine most recently played with Brazilian Serie B club Vila Nova and pending his International Transfer Certificate could be eligible for Sydney’s clash with Adelaide United on the weekend.
Sky Blues boss Vitezslav Lavicka said the signing of Cazarine would add plenty to the club’s strikeforce which at present is thin with recent injuries to Mark Bridge and Alex Brosque.
"We started to find out he was physical and a strong striker a long time ago," Lavicka said.
"We are happy to have signed a player like Bruno, because he is able to bring his physical possibilities.
"He is strong in the air and he also is a good finisher.
"I believe he could be available (to play Adelaide) but firstly he must (secure) the visa and gain permission."
