Manchester City will go to war with PSG in the summer for Napoli star Edinson Cavani.
The Daily Star Sunday says City are set for a sensational £40million shoot-out for striker Cavani with PSG.
PSG director of football Leonardo held talks with Cavani's representatives during the January transfer window.
He wanted to ensure City were not stealing a march on PSG in the battle for Cavani and to lay the foundations for a deal when the next window opens in the summer.
But the South American hitman is still the player City boss Roberto Mancini wants to replace Mario Balotelli, sold to AC Milan for £19m.
So it's shaping up to be a battle of the Middle East money men - Abu Dhabi-owned City versus PSG, bankrolled from Qatar.
