Lee Cattermole has praised Sunderland for the way they went about their 2-1 Capital One Cup win over Chelsea on Tuesday night.
The Black Cats came from a goal down to beat the Blues in extra-time at the Stadium of Light to move into the semi-finals and the performance was admired by Cattermole who was unlucky to score an own-goal early in the second half.
"There's been some positive performances throughout," he told Sky Sports.
"It's a great win, it's not the league but it gives some momentum going into Saturday.
"The priority was always Saturday but we got the win and it gives us some belief, it's massive for the squad's confidence."
