Catania wing-back Gianluca Falsini and Avellino goalkeeper Armando Pantanelli have been cleared of match-fixing allegations.
An inquiry in Syracuse has found both men innocent, as confirmed by an official statement from lawyer Mattia Grassani.
"Contrary to reports in the newspapers, neither of my clients committed any wrong-doing and we are now investigating action after the damage done to their careers and reputations," he read.
"Now we will see the welcoming atmosphere Falsini will get on his return to training after he was the victim of such a massive error."
