Catania sports chief Pietro Lo Monaco says they'd jump at the chance of signing Stephen Appiah.

"Appiah? Of course, we'd take him right now. He is 29 years old and is not only a good prospect for Catania, but he could also play for all 19 other teams in Serie A," said Lo Monaco.

"I do not know how he is now and if he has passed his physical problems, but I can say with certainty that Appiah is a great talent."
