Catania chief Pietro Lo Monaco has called on Maxi Lopez to keep his focus ahead of moving to AC Milan in January.

Corriere del Mezzogiorno says a pre-contract agreement regarding the player's future was signed with Milan's Adriano Galliani some two weeks ago.

Lo Monaco said: "He has to think more about Catania. It is not the right time to talk about the transfer market, we have to think about upcoming games.

"Maxi Lopez is our best striker, we have a month to wait until the market opens, with four important games, and he is needed and will be used for our cause."
