Catania sporting director Pietro Lo Monaco says they will have a healthy summer transfer budget.
Sinisa Mihajlovic's team are still battling against relegation.
"We have to underline that this team is very young," said Lo Monaco. "The players will gain a lot of experience for the future though. Sometimes in Serie A you pay the price for being a bit too innocent.
"However, if Catania avoid relegation this term, considering the TV rights and the profit accumulated, we will be able to invest approximately £9m on the transfer market.
"While last summer we were very careful and debating whether to spend £1.7m on a transfer, now things are different. Even if we had to sign a player for double we would not hesitate."
