Catania chief Pietro Lo Monaco says management are angry over the chants being directed at Giuseppe Mascara.

Mascara scored the temporary equaliser on Sunday's afternoon clash at the Franchi, a game which the Etnei lost 3-1.

"The chants which they were singing against Mascara and his family were simply awful," commented Lo Monaco. "Some criticise Mascara for his behaviour but their chants about his mother were unbearable.

"I have always respected the Florentines but this time…

"If Mascara's behaviour offended someone then I am sorry for it but you can't sing that way about his family."
