Catania chief Pietro Lo Monaco admits they could have signed Ricky Alvarez before Inter Milan stepped in.
Alvarez joined Inter last week from Velez Sarsfield.
“Unfortunately we are a small club and we can’t move like others do,” Lo Monaco told Radio Kiss Kiss on Monday.
“Take Alvarez as an example. I could have brought him here for as little as €4m before an auction took place around him and he arrived in Italy for €9m.”
