Catania coach Vincenzo Montella has revealed he had an offer from Napoli.

Montella was offered an assistant's role by Napoli coach Walter Mazzarri.

"I have had a good rapport with Walter Mazzarri for many years. I thank him for all he did for me at Sampdoria. He had once asked me to be his assistant manager, but I preferred to start from the Roma youth academy."
