Adelaide United left-back Cassio is confident the South Australian club are capable of knocking off the Brisbane Roar this weekend.
The Reds bounced back to winning form with a 2-0 triumph over Sydney FC at the Adelaide Oval last night and the Brazilian feels that performance will give the second-placed side some self-assurance ahead of Sunday's Hindmarsh Stadium fixture with the Roar.
"I think this win means a lot for us. Especially with the last two weeks, we'd lost three games in a row which was no good for us," he said regarding the win over Sydney.
"We know we have a good team and that we could do better, but we always believed in each other and that is what we tried to do (against Sydney FC)."
"I think so, definitely," he said about Adelaide's chances of beating Brisbane.
"I think we have a great team, they have a great team as well. It will be a good game to watch.
"We can't wait to play this game. I think the guys have still got it (the last game against the Roar) in the back of their minds and we'll try to stop them.
"It's special for us because they're the team to beat. In the beginning of the season the team to beat was Adelaide and now it's Brisbane, and we want to stop them. We can do it, we believe it and that's what we'll try to do on Sunday."
The top-of-the-table encounter between the Reds and the Roar kicks off at 6:30pm local time (7:00pm AEDT).
