Manchester City's academy director Jim Cassell has spoken of his pride after the team clinched a place in the final of the FA Youth Cup.

City went down 1-0 to Sunderland in the second leg but progressed 2-1 on aggregate.

They will now face either Aston Villa or Chelsea and Cassell said: "I am so proud of the lads and so are all the coaches.

"It may not have been our most flowing performance but the tie was over two legs and we did the job."
