Antonio Cassano says moving to Sampdoria has turned him into a different man.
"I have re-evaluated my place in the world," he told the Gazzetta dello Sport. "I still like myself, I'm still a narcissist, but I am far more humble than I once was.
"For example, in 2005 an American sponsor arrived and the contract was all ready for me to sign. There was a problem, as they got the colour of a boot wrong and I put the brakes on the whole thing.
"I scrapped a sponsorship deal worth 6m Euros over four years.
"Sampdoria is the club where I want to play until the day I quit football. I have reached an interior consistency and calm that I had never experienced before and I certainly don't need more money."
