Antonio Cassano improved his chances of a return to national team duty with a brace in Sampdoria's 3-0 whitewash of Catania.

Cassano scored in the 62nd and 91st minutes plus provided the telling pass in the lead up to Claudio Bellucci's 6th minute opening goal.

The result continued a fine run of form for Sampdoria, who remain unbeaten at home this season.
