Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka is set to attract a bid from AC Milan ahead of the January market.

Anelka was linked with a £2.5 million move to Milan last week.

And the need for Milan to land the Frenchman is now more acute due to Antonio Cassano's illness. Concerns over the striker's availability will force Milan back into the transfer market.

Anelka tops their shopping list, though Juventus centre-forward Amauri is also under consideration.
