Despite his meltdown against Torino on Sunday, Sampdoria are pressing ahead with a permanent deal for Antonio Cassano.
Samp chief Beppe Marotta met with Cassano's agent, Beppe Bozzo, at his home in Genoa yesterday to discuss personal terms, says Gazzetta dello Sport.
Bozzo assured Marotta that Cassano is prepared to accept a 20 per cent cut (to £600,000-a-year) on his Real Madrid wages to make the deal happen.
Samp still, however, must meet Real's £3.75 million asking price.
