Iker Casillas has backed Real Madrid's pursuit of both Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo and Valencia striker David Villa.

The Real goalkeeper said: "I know Villa rather better than Cristiano. Besides being a teammate, he is a great player and if he was to come I would be delighted.

"We want to have a team that can do extremely well in all three competitions."
