Real Madrid captain Iker Casillas has admitted he may have to leave the club. Casillas has found himself frozen out of La Liga action this season.
"Of course I want to play, but you have to respect the Coach. These are his decisions," Casillas has reflected to reporters today.
"The selfish players always want to play, but a good professional accepts things. I'd like to stay at Real Madrid because it is what I have dreamed of since childhood.
"What I must to is train as much as I can in order to play.
"Players go through times when if they are not a protagonist, many options run through their head. I'm human, I'm only a footballer. I've not played for nine months and it has also happened with me. I'm not a machine.
"Of course I want to stay here, win more titles with Real Madrid. Since my childhood I have wanted to be here, but one day I may have to take a decision.
"Today my goal is to fight, to try and play every day. If I didn't want to, I would have gone to the President in September asking to leave, regardless of anything at Christmas. But I have decided I want to be a part of this team for a long time.
"But within three months if the situation doesn't change and I am asked the same question, maybe the answer is that I am considering leaving."
