Casillas: Pellegrini needs to adjust to Real Madrid life

Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas admits he hasn't been at his best in recent games. Casillas rowed with Valencia fans before conceding twice in Saturday's 3-2 win at the Mestalla.

He said: "I acknowledge my mistakes against Valencia and the two goals we conceded were my fault, but I prefer to have these bugs now rather than in a Champions League match or the World Cup."

As much as Real's players are adjusting to coach Manuel Pellegrini's methods, Casillas says the Chilean also needs to handle the greater expectations.

He added: "To play or train at Villarreal, with all due respect, is not the same as playing or being with Real Madrid because every day your name is on everyone's lips, every day you get criticized for good or evil. "
