Cashed-up Malaga move for Manchester City striker Tevez

Malaga have joined the battle for Manchester City captain Carlos Tevez.

The Daily Star Sunday says Malaga are going head-to-head with Corinthians of Brazil in the £50million battle for Manchester City's Tevez.

The Spanish club, based on the Costa Del Sol and owned by the Qatar royal family, want transfer-seeking Tevez to get them into Europe as their flagship signing.

The stunning news comes as City boss Roberto Mancini has confirmed in America that Atletico Madrid's Sergio Aguero could be the £40m replacement for Tevez - his Argentina team-mate.

And with Corinthians upping their bid, Tevez looks as good as sold.
