Newcastle sources insist John Carver did NOT offer to resign during a meeting with managing director Lee Charnley yesterday.
The Evening Chronicle says Carver's only focus was playing his part in ensuring Newcastle survive in the Premier League this season.
Sources close to the Toon camp say that Carver and the players have vowed to tackle the club's last three games together.
It is also believed Carver was NOT asked to resign by Charnley or the club following some home truths in the Newcastle dressing room after the 3-0 defeat at Leicester City - when the United boss said he felt that Mike Williamson was sent off on purpose.
