Newcastle United boss John Carver says he won't step aside.

Carver has won just two of his 11 games in charge and lost the last three.

"I've got a contract until the end of the season, then my assistant manager's contract kicks in if they don't want me to take over," he said.

"I'll just do this job as long as I need to.

"The one thing I can assure everyone is that I am giving it everything and the players are too."
