Newcastle United caretaker boss John Carver says they were lucky to draw with Burnley.
Carver said that his side probably didn't deserve a point after their poor second half performance against Burnley.
The Magpies played out a 3-3 draw at St James' Park in Carver's first game as caretaker in the aftermath of Alan Pardew's exit.
When asked what changed after a great first half, Carver said afterwards: "It's a great question and I'd love to have the answer for you right now, but obviously I haven't.
"I have never been involved in football where that cliché of two halves was so apparent.
"In the first 45 minutes, we actually played some good football, probably the best football we have played, I have to be honest."
Carver said that he was deeply disappointed with the outcome of his first outing in temporary charge.
He said: "I am actually sitting here so disappointed because we were so good in the first half and so poor in the second half that we actually have got away with a point. We didn't deserve that."
