AS Monaco defender Ricardo Carvalho expects former Real Madrid teammate Fabio Coentrao to leave this summer.

The left-back is being linked with a return home to Portugal.

"I have the feeling that Coentrao is considering leaving Madrid, which is the best for his future," said Carvalho.

"I, however, feel he should stay. In the last year, he played often and well."
